the whole point of triggers is that they respond to the transients on an individual drum. You wouldn't want to do this using mics that have multiple drum sounds mixed together. using the overheads/room mic's and get midi printed automatically into the DAW WITHOUT any latency. I want the software to be super accurate so i don't waste my money for nothing.ĭoes anyone know about any software that is able to do this in Logic it would be super awesome! I would be truly grateful! I've tried several programmes but only Drumagog trigger the drums in real-time. ![]() I would feel disappointed buying triggers for a total of several hundred dollars (red shot + pro's) without them even working properly. And I don't know if they work as accurately as I need them to. Or buy myself the even more expensive Ddrum Pro-triggers. Live, I know this ain't a problem because it's quite accurate, but not enough for recording in a studio.Įither use somekind of real-time audio to midi-plug to trigger the sound from the mic's accurately. They don't trigger the notes exactly at the same time as the actual hit. And they're not aligned with the acoustic hits captured by the microphones. ![]() After several hours of messing around with the DM10-parameters they still don't trigger well. I recently bought myself an Alesis DM10 drum module together with Ddrum Red Shot triggers. The main headache for me right now is the following: Blending the acoustic drums with triggers real-time for a sweet sound. I would really think this would be a great "Wow"-factor for the bands I record. I would simply like to record the drum mic's and then software trigger them in real-time in the DAW to be able to blend the sounds all together at once. ![]() I know there are programmes that convert audio to midi but everyone I've tried requires you to do this manually while editing drums. Using the overheads/room mic's and get midi printed automatically into the DAW WITHOUT any latency. I would like to record drums with live triggering. I would love to know if there is any real-time audio to midi-software out there.
